Antique American Walnut Knock-Down Wardrobe | 19th Century Armoire
Description
A handsome antique American walnut wardrobe featuring beautifully aged wood, restrained carved detailing, and exceptionally useful storage. Its warm, timeworn finish reveals natural tonal variation, old marks, and the rich character acquired through generations of use.
The paneled double doors open to an asymmetrical interior, with three spacious shelves on the left and a full-height hanging compartment on the right. Two lower drawers with hand cut dovetail joinery provide additional concealed storage, while the substantial molded cornice and scalloped base give the wardrobe a strong architectural presence.
Most notably, this wardrobe was handmade using traditional knock-down construction. It can be disassembled into sections for transportation and installation, making its impressive 91-inch height considerably more manageable for delivery and placement.
A beautiful statement piece for a bedroom, dressing room, entry, linen storage, or an English country–inspired interior.

CONDITION
Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The finish is beautiful and really highlights the Walnut grain. The drawers are solid a slide smoothly. The doors have had some hinge repair but the repairs are solid and everything works as it should. A truly one of a kind, magnificent piece in beautiful condition.
As with most antique pieces, signs of age should be expected and appreciated. Minor repairs, cracks, scratches, small holes, and natural patina reflect its history and character.
